Religion and beliefs are complex topics. There are many different religions, each with their own beliefs. Those beliefs are interpreted and practiced differently by each person in a religion.

Religions try to explain the creation of man, the essence of life and being human, and offer suggestions for leading good, fulfilling lives. Some of the most popular religions had their origins thousands of years ago: Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, and Judaism.

Interfaith marriages

Interfaith marriages are very common in the United States and a recent “Pew survey” found that couples with differing faiths tend to attend services less frequently than couples with the same faith.

Four-in-ten (or 43 percent) of interfaith couples say they seldom or never attend religious services compared to 21 percent of those who practice the same faith.

Faith can unite

A lot of people struggle with getting a family to function as a unit in harmony. All family members have different ideas and motivations so it really helps to have a basis of common values and strenghts built on faith. The common stepping stone that is faith will help the entire family to better take each other into consideration and to foster a unity instead of just following own instincts.
